Trace the logo in corel draw with easy steps

I am coming with a great tutorial about the tracing in corel draw. So many graphic designer want to know how trace the logo in short time and with fine quality. Don't worry I have good tips for tracing the logo with video tutorials.

      

How Trace logo 

First Step - Select the image

Open the corel draw and save the file to name newlogo.cdr. Select the image which you want to trace. if you want to follow my step same then download this image. (right click and press save image)



Go to File > Import > Select the image where you have saved. > Click on Import

2nd Step - Choose the tool

Now we should decide the tools for tracing this logo. Corel Draw have spacial tool for tracing - Pen Tool. I suggest to choose pen tool. We can trace with easy way by using pen tool. With pen tool we will use other feature like subtracting & combined. For fill the color in traced logo we will use fountain fill & uniform fill.

3rd Step - Think about main object which you want to trace.

Now we will start the tracing. First of all choose main object & select pen tool. Start from TOSTITOS(logo) word. Select pen tool and click on T word's starting edge and finish the shape from start to end point (follow the image). In 3rd step we have joined the point starting edge to ending edge. 

Pen tool shape default color is black.Green outline just show for your ref.

4th Step - Trace the second portion of logo

Now use pen tool. Same concept for outer shape

5th Step - How to Use Contour Tool 

Now we use contour tool for make the proper shape of outer object. As shown in logo's outer shape is divided in there portion (Black, Orange, Yellow). To make this style we will take the help of contour tool. Let see how it work.

1. Select the object then choose contour tool

2. Drag the contour toll & make object copy through

6th Step - Fill the color
After Tracing choose the color by color picker from color palate and fill in the object
